.Passion.

Derived from the Greek word, pathos, meaning suffering or disease or feeling passion. It's a word with strong meaning in in our daily vocabulary. That being said, I am not sure that with this word (as well as many others we all use all too often) we understand the grandeur of what we are saying. I am pretty confident in saying that our society, myself included, has a tendency to exaggerate what we really mean rather than reflecting on what we truly mean to convey.

I am passionate about a few things. I have passion for my God, for rock climbing and for my family. In saying this I mean I am willing to suffer, to be tested and devoted. My family are people I am willing to endure for, and are the strength I would rely on to do just that. The same goes for my God and for rock climbing, each to their own extent of course.

I have been taking time to think about it lately, and I am developing my passions. It's important to be balanced in everything I do, but having made this recent clarification on the word and what it really means to be passionate about something, I am able to more clearly differentiate between things I am passionate about and things I just care about.

Confidently I can say I am passionate about the following:
God
family
rock climbing
loving
and being balanced

I guess I was trying to share some sort of idea about passions, but really I think I just gave myself a little more direction with my efforts and thoughts.
